Frequency, season 1, episode 2

Well, as the finale of Wayward Pines was airing this week, we started filming on the first season of the new t.v. series, Frequency
(a shot of #1 Peyton List talking to he dad, back in time 20 years, on a ham radio)..

a youngish looking dad she is talking to. She is in 2016, he is in 1996. Crazy.... stay tuned. The dad is portrayed by Riley Smith.
The cover of the script for episode 2. (the first episode will be the pilot which was shot earlier in the spring)

The work trucks (grips, and electrics)  are in full use at the studio in south Burnaby, where we spent the first 4 days of filming.

well, it's not New York, but with some curtains on stage, we can make it look like it.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, a nice break from filming. I humbly spent a day in a skin cancer clinic in Vancouver.

nice view , though

I still feel quite lucky that I had what I had. There were 14 other people with skin cancer, some had it a lot worse than I did. 10 to 14 people per day at this clinic, the only one that specialises in Mohs surgery.

My doctor, who apparently is a descendent of Picasso, haha, drew out the second surgery for me that day.
On a beautiful day, I do not need to be in a sweltering stage, when I can hang out in the parking lot. As long as I am in radio contact, all is good.

Holy! I thought by back up camera was sending me to the stars, until I realized my rear hatch was open! (groan!)

The construction crew worked their butts off to get the sets ready for the first week of filiming.

The end of the week found us at the Allied Ship Yards in North Vancouver. (if your into old building and junk, you have found your home!) (I love it!)

not sure what for, but no thanks!

they got junk!

oh yea!, our first fraturday! (Friday work stretching to Saturday morning).

nice plug

I'll take 3 of what she's having!

easy solution, right?

Frequency prep, week 2

Well, last week of prep on the first season of the t.v. series,  Frequency. Looks like everything is ready to roll. (at least in the transport department).
Meanwhile back in Wayward Pines (the last show I worked on), Episode 9 of season 2 aired this week, Omg!. With one episode to go, we found out that Kerry, (played by Kacey Rohl,) and Jason, (played by Tom Stevens) are not only husband and wife, but mother and son as well! (you'll have to tune in to find out how that is even possible!)
Dr. Pilcher (Toby Jones), the founder of Wayward Pines (died in season 1) would be shocked at the events that has put his town on the brink of extinction.

The main players left, Kerry (Kacey Rohl), Theo (Jason Patric), CJ, (Djimon Hounsou), and Jason (Tom Stevens), must decide on the fate of the town.

Will it be to go back in the pods and wait for a better tim?. (4028 era isn't working out) But wait, there isn't enough pods for all the residents. (you'll have to watch next week on Wednesday at 9 p.m. on Fox for the finale!)
Back to present time Vancouver. The sets at the Frequency stages are nearing completion.

Just a few finishing touches and it will be home sweet home
I was handed the much-coveted # 1parking spot by the parking authority at the Vancouver airport while I awaited for one of the executive producers of the show.

Cruising down Pender Street in Vancouver on my way to pick up one of the actors downtown.

Wow, one of my calamari tried to escape at dinner the other night.
A lovely shot of my son with my two nieces, Erin and Megan on a gorgeous Vancouver Saturday afternoon in Kitsilano.
More random web shots, (uhhh, not my memory of high school)

Good boy!

the fact that people actually think about stuff like this astounds me.

Certainly could of been worse........

Frequency prep.

A much needed quiet week for me in the film world. After doing one short day on Man in the High Castle, I started prep on the newest, bestest t.v. show that no one has ever heard of, Frequency. (click the link, it sounds like it may have some potential)
a new show needs a new ride! I am blessed enough to drive this 2016 Dodge Durango Citadel for the show. I think the cast is going to like it.

sign of the times in the booming real estate land of Vancouver. So many new condo projects popping up beside the already well established towers in the downtown core.
and had time to watch episode 8 of 10 of season two of Wayward Pines, it's good!

The female leader of the abbies, Margaret, is on the run after leaving Meagan (Hope Davis) with no hope.
Hassler (Tim Griffin) and Theo (Jason Patric) are on the hunt.

I wont spoil it, uhhhhh yes I will, Hassler lets Margaret go through this secret tunnel, and he decides his chances are better outside of Wayward Pines, and is soon to follow her lead.
random, I needed to clean the dish drainer, and bending this tooth brush seemed like the only way to get the job done, pic
so, light on film subject matter, so I went to the web...
this one is open to so many interpretations .

as a truck driver myself, I'm just a little more than curious.

so much going on in the world today, how has this become an issue???
Pokémon Go has become a thing that I will never understand.
Really?
I don't understand the game, but I do understand that this is not right.

Disrespect that I am sure the Pokémon Go players are totally oblivious to.
