Day 17- Event day in Sydney, Nova Scotia

Today was an event day, in Sydney , Nova Scotia. A group of us went to a local mall to put on a display about the relay. Here is Kyle trying to get the crowd going with his break dance moves. If it was me, I'd be broken!

The second part of event day for me was at the 9th annual Membertou First Nations pow-wow in Syndney, N.S. It was a great event, great to see the support from all of their members.

A great turnout at the Membertou First Nations pow-wow

Dawn, myself, Jeremy, and Kayla worked the afternoon shift.

Kayla chattin with the girls.

too cute!

Day 16, on the pace vehicle with Sony, our endurace athlete, and Lisa, our photographer

Kayla and I were on the bikes escorting the medal bearers today! (although I had to do a 14km segment in the pouring rain with the local cycling club, it was still a blast!

This young medal bearer poses for pics at a sponser stop at a Scotia Bank in Sydney Mines, N.S.

Now that school is in, we are doing presentations. This one is at a Sydney Mines elementary school.

This is what it is all about, the kids!

Later in the  day, fellow driver Hank joined me on the bike, that's a big 10-4 driver!

We couldn't do it without the traffic control from the police, here we had both the RCMP and the Cape Breton Regional Police helping us out, thanks guys!
